The Derbyshire Amateur & Professional Golfers Alliance was founded in 1922 to provide a link between the amateur and professional game particularly as it affected golf clubs.

It has continued to provide a full programme of events each year together with support for :-

• The training of Assistant Club Professionals
• Junior golf in the county
• The Alliance seeks to embrace Club golfers of all ages who have a WHS handicap and are playing members of a golf club in Derbyshire or surrounding counties.
• There is no  annual membership fee and the entry fee for events is usually £28 per player, which includes:
• A green fee for the host club
• Amateur, senior and professional prizes
• Participation  in an appropriate Order of Merit with prizes for
• Professionals
• Amateurs
• Seniors (55+)

The Alliance enjoys the support  of the Beechwood  Motor Group and we manage on their behalf  the Beechwood Tournament of Champions for  amateurs and a number of representative events.

The Derbyshire Alliance enters the National Alliance Championship each year and won this event in 2012
